Kindergarten FAQ

2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration

All children who reside in the Camden Fairview School District and are 5 years old on or before August 1, 2024 are eligible to enroll in the FES Kindergarten program. Please click here to learn more about our online enrollment process and registering your child for the 2024-2025 school year.

Kindergarten Enrollment FAQs

  • My child attends preschool at Camden Fairview Early Childhood Education Center. Do we follow the same registration process as families new to Camden Fairview? Great question! Students who attend preschool at Camden Fairview Early Childhood Education Center do not have to use the Kindergarten Registration link, upload registration documents, or complete the kindergarten physical. These requirements were met during CFSD preschool enrollment. Your family will register as returning students.

  • What are the hours of operation? Our instructional day is from 7:55AM to 3:00PM. Breakfast begins at 7:30AM, and car-riders are dismissed at 3:00PM. Bus-riders are dismissed at 3:10PM. Walkers are dismissed at 3:15PM. Students must be picked up by 3:30PM.

  • How will I know who my child’s teacher is? Class lists will be shared on the afternoon of August 2. This year, we will host an Open House and screening day on August 9. Please select your screening time when you receive the class list on August 2. The Open House and screening day is a great opportunity for families to meet their teacher one-on-one, see your classroom, and even drop-off school supplies! 

  • What school supplies does my child need? School supply lists are available here.

  • Why is it important to complete registration and provide all documents? We can’t enroll your child or assign them to a classroom teacher until the registration process is complete and all required documents are turned in! We’re excited to see your child on the first day of school, so please make sure to complete your child’s registration before August.

The following documents are required to complete registration:

  • Proof of Residency in Camden Fairview School District (ex. current utility bill or statement with parent/guardian’s name and address dated within the past 30 days).
  • Kindergarten Physical. Schedule an appointment with your child's primary care physician. Physicals are due before school begins in August.
