Camden Fairview Juniors Selected to Attend Boys and Girls State

#WeAreCamdenFairview - Twenty-four Camden Fairview juniors were nominated and selected to attend Girls State and Boys State this summer. Arkansas Girls State and Boys State are immersive civics education programs designed for students who have completed their junior year of high school. For decades, these programs have been teaching young Arkansans to be actively involved in their communities and government at every level.Amanda Mulligan, Abby Word, Na'Jyrae Gordon, McKinley Harrison, Ciyana Cross, Kylah Breland, Karman Steward, Trinity Green, Emily Robertson, Kynlee Carman, Haylie Lucas, Makalee Tate, Dorian Rice, Jailah Utsey, Rhonda Carter, Tae V'Annah Lilly, and T'erica Burgie were selected to attend Girls State at Harding University from May 28 through June 2, 2023. Haven Adams, Jaylen Goodwin, Jaylon Lambert, Bill Lewis, Ta'Korey McCoy, Shamarion Walker, and Jeremy Whitney were selected to attend Boys State at the University of Conway Arkansas from May 28 through June 2, 2023. Congratulations to the Camden Fairview students who were selected! Each delegate is assigned a place in a mock political party, city, or county government. Over the course of the weeklong program, delegates will hold nominations and elections for various roles within their mock government.
