Camden Fairview Announces Hiring of Elementary Principal
Camden Fairview School District is excited to announce the hiring of Kim Scarbrough as the 2023-2024 Fairview Elementary School principal, following the June 30th retirement of longtime FES principal Treasa Thrower. Mrs. Scarbrough is currently an assistant principal at Sheridan High School, a position she’s held for five years. Prior to that, she was an Instructional Specialist serving on the District Curriculum Team for four years. Mrs. Scarbrough has taught French, Math and has also provided teachers with professional development on math, instructional practices, and technology for educational cooperatives across the state, as well as at state, regional, and national conferences. She has 23 years of experience in education. Mrs. Scarbrough has a BSE in Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Curriculum, receiving both from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She has achieved National Board Certification in Mathematics. Mrs. Scarbrough has been married to her husband, Matt, for 24 years. They have two sons and a daughter. Mrs. Scarbrough said, “I am excited to join the Camden Fairview school family and can’t wait to get to know all of the faculty, staff, students, and families of Fairview Elementary School. I am looking forward to working with them to build strong foundations that lead to successful lives for each and every student.”
