#CardinalPride -Camden Fairview Middle School’s Teacher of the Year is Roy Wilson! Mr. Wilson is a social studies teacher with 24 years of service at Camden Fairview. He returned to college to begin his teaching career after retiring from the U.S. Army with 20 years of military service in 1993. Mr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1973 and a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1997, both from Henderson State University. During his years at Camden Fairview, Mr. Wilson has taught ALE, U.S. History, Arkansas History, World History, and World Geography.

Mr. Wilson believes that students need to be actively engaged in learning and lessons must be relatable and applied to the local area. Mr. Wilson said, “I have tried to plant the seeds of good citizenship through my teaching practices and personal actions. The principles I attempted to instill can only be demonstrated with maturity and actions taken over time. Having said that, I am confident that my students will be productive citizens.” We agree and are grateful for your years of influence on Camden Fairview students, Mr. Wilson. Congratulations on this honor and on your retirement!
