CAMDEN FAIRVIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT TO USE JULY 30 START-DATE ALTERNATE SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR 2025-26
At its regularly scheduled meeting on January 21, the Camden Fairview School Board unanimously approved an alternate school calendar with a July 30 start date for the 2025-2026 school year. Some of the features of the calendar include:
The school year will run from July 30, 2025, to May 28, 2026.
Students will still attend 1068 hours of instruction as mandated by state law.
Summer break for students will generally last around 7-8 weeks.
Additional holidays will be added throughout the school year with most months having an extended weekend or week-long holiday.
The average teacher’s contract will remain 190 days.
State-mandated teacher professional development days will remain the same.
Parent-Teacher Conference requirements will not change. The 25-26 calendar does have conferences on separate weeks for PreK-5 and 6-12 grades in the fall semester.
The calendar will still have 1-hour Early Out Wednesdays. They will be scheduled at a later date.
The District understands that this will be an adjustment for families and staff. We will make every effort to provide support and information as we make this transition.
For more information, please see the 2025-26 Calendar Overview. Thank you.
