Announcements & Reminders:

Labor Day Break is this week!

Remember, there is no school September 7-11 as we celebrate Labor Day Break. There are athletic events occurring for our student-athletes, and coaches will be sharing practice/game schedules for the break through ParentSquare groups soon.

The energy is building, and our Cardinals are ready to show their school spirit! Get ready for four exciting pep rallies filled with fun, friendly competition, and plenty of Cardinal Pride!

Wear your camo & orange and get ready to take aim at some school spirit!
10/1 — US VS. THEM 👩‍🏫🆚👨‍🎓
Teachers vs. Students! Students, dress like teachers. Teachers, dress like students. Let’s see who brings the most spirit!

💗 Wear pink as we show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
10/29 — RED, BLACK & FRIGHT! 🎃
❤️🤍Wear your Halloween costume and get ready for a frightfully fun pep rally!

Let’s make every rally a celebration of our students, staff, and the CFMS Cardinal family! Show up, dress up, and SHOW YOUR CARDINAL SPIRIT! ❤️🤍

Pep rallies will begin at 1:42 pm. Please check in at the CFMS front office to receive a visitor pass. Be sure to bring your driver’s license and be mindful of our clear bag policy. 

ATLAS Interim Assessment: September 28-October 2.

The ATLAS Interim Assessment is coming up the week of September 28–October 2! Every lesson, assignment, and opportunity to practice helps to prepare our students for success. Encourage your child to pay attention, participate, ask questions, complete their work, and review what they have learned. 

During testing week, support your child's success by ensuring they get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, arrive on time, read each question carefully, use their scratch paper, and do their best — even when the questions are challenging! Remember: we have been training for this, and now it’s time to run our race! 

CKH Character Trait of the Month: Empathy.

The CKH character trait for September is empathy.  Empathy means trying to understand how someone else feels and seeing things from their point of view. 

CFMS House Colors Wednesdays:

Please wear your house colors each Wednesday. 

School Hours:

Breakfast begins at 7:20 AM. Students should arrive to school by 7:45 AM to allow plenty of time to travel to class before the first bell rings at 7:55 AM. Please arrive on time and ready to learn!

Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:30 PM. Families, please remind your student to go to the appropriate location during afternoon car and bus dismissal. To ensure everyone leaves using the correct method home, students must all be in the right place.

Reminders for All Cardinal Athletics Events:

🎟️ Admission: $6 for all home athletic events. CFSD employees receive free admission with their district ID badge.

ℹ️ Clear Bag Policy: Only approved clear bags and clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” are permitted. Backpacks, purses, coolers, fanny packs, cinch bags, camera bags, computer bags, and other oversized bags are prohibited. View the full Clear Bag Policy for details.

🚫Food and Drinks: No outside food or drinks, including tumblers, are permitted.

🚫 Pets: Only registered service animals are allowed.

👥 Fan Conduct: Students in grades K–5 must be supervised by an adult at all times. All home and visiting students are expected to behave appropriately. Adults and students may be removed for fighting, disrespectful behavior, or possession of prohibited items. Students must be picked up within 20 minutes after the event ends.
