CFSD Updates: Summer Meal Program and Summer School start tomorrow, June 4! Lady Cardinal Volleyball Tryouts are set for this Friday, June 6!

Summer Meal Program Information:

This summer, Camden Fairview will provide free breakfasts and lunches to all children 18 and under from Wednesday, June 4, through Tuesday, June 24, for all children under 18.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30am-8:10am, and lunch will be served from 11:00am-11:30am at the following locations: Camden Fairview High School (1750 Cash Road) and Fairview Elementary School (735 Robin Street). 5th grade and younger will eat at FES, and children 6th grade through age 18 will eat at CFHS. There are no income requirements or registration.

Summer School Bus Route Information:
Summer school will be from June 4 -June 24 from 8:00am-1:00pm. Families were previously notified if summer school was recommended for their student. 6-12 graders will attend Camden Fairview High School and K-5 graders at Fairview Elementary School.

We will be using a color route system for summer school this year. Buses will travel to high-density population areas and will not travel to rural areas of the district. Students may stand anywhere along the designated routes to catch the bus.

The estimated morning start time and locations for the routes on the first day are:

Purple Route will start at the old Charlie’s One Stop in Chidester at 7:00am and follow Highway 24 into Camden.
Yellow Route will leave bus shop at 6:50am and begin on Goodgame Street.
Blue Route will leave the bus shop at 7:00am and begin on Bradley Ferry Road.
Green Route will leave bus shop at 7:00am and begin on Cleveland Avenue.
Orange Route will leave bus shop at 7:00am and begin on Magnolia Road.
Gold Route will start in Stephens at 6:50am at the site of the old municipal building parking lot and follow Highway 79 into Camden.
Red Route will be at Lincoln Center at 7:10am. (Updated June 4, 2025.)

The bus drivers will notify students on their bus of any changes that need to be made after the first few days of summer school. Please contact the Transportation Department at 870-836-4193 with any questions. Bus Route Maps are available here.

2025-26 8th & 9th Graders (Make-up tryout for incoming 9th graders who missed the earlier session.)

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Varsity Tryouts

11:30 AM – 12:45 PM

Must have a current physical

Wear athletic attire

No physical or improper attire = No tryout

After Tryouts:

The team rosters will be posted after tryouts.

Mandatory Practice for Grades 9–12 begins July 7!

Summer Attendance Policy:

Unexcused absences will be penalized.

If you notify Coach Tanner in advance, you will NOT be penalized.
While July practice is mandatory, we understand summer plans—just communicate!

7th Grade Tryouts will be held in August.

Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer Information:
The Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT) provides funds for meals to eligible students during the summer when school is not in session. Eligible families will receive $120 per eligible school-aged child for groceries, and the benefits will be loaded on a new or existing Summer EBT card. Families who received Summer EBT last year - the benefits will be loaded on the same card so please make sure you still have your card handy!

Who's eligible for S-EBT?

Students who are eligible for SNAP or TEA benefits.
For students who are not eligible for SNAP or TEA benefits, their parents/guardians must complete an application. Approval will be based on household income. This includes students attending a Provision 2 school, which applies to all Camden Fairview schools. The household income guidelines for eligibility are the same as those for free and reduced priced meals.

What's the S-EBT application process? Most eligible families will be automatically enrolled, but some will need to apply. Check out the the Summer EBT site to see if you need to apply: ar.gov/SummerEBT
