Cardinal News

#WeAreCamdenFairview - Nineteen Camden Fairview juniors were selected to attend Girls State and Boys State this summer. Arkansas Girls State and Boys State are immersive civics education programs for students who have completed their junior year of high school. For decades, these programs have taught young Arkansans to actively participate in their communities and government at every level.
Summer Brown, Kennedy Burks, Aamori Johnson, Armoni Johnson, Sara McMurry, Brynlee Purifoy, Jasmine Sams, Imyne Smith, Melanie Wylie, and Emma Tuberville were selected to attend Girls State at Harding University from May 26 through 31, 2024.
Darrell Atkins, Nicolas Easter, Jamari Gulley, Zantonio Lewis, Jordan McCoy, Xaiver McHenry, Gabriel Parrish, Peyton Pennington, and Christen Strong were selected to attend Boys State at the University of Conway Arkansas from May 26 through 31, 2024.
Congratulations to the Camden Fairview students who were selected! Each delegate is assigned a place in a mock political party, city, or county government. Throughout the weeklong program, delegates will hold nominations and elections for various roles within their mock government. This experience provides delegates with practical instruction on the duties and responsibilities of citizens and public officials.
Thank you to these community sponsors who made this opportunity possible for Camden Fairview students:

#CardinalPride - Congratulations to CFHS senior Jay Amerson on his first place win at the K-12 Culinary Connection's 7th Annual Student Chef Showdown on Friday at Pulaski Tech Culinary Institute! Great job, Jay!

#CardinalPride - Another amazing week for Camden Fairview Bands: They gave awesome performances at their Spring Concert on Wednesday, and on Friday, CFHS Band students traveled to Memphis for a performance at the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Lakers game!
Shoutout to band directors Mr. Hughey, Mr. Burns, and Ms. Tuskey for providing these opportunities for their students!
