Update from CFSD

We are deeply saddened to share that CFSD District Math Specialist Leah Stinnett passed away unexpectedly. Ms. Stinnett has been a valued part of CFSD since May 2023, and she dedicated 28 years of service to public education.

Ms. Stinnett was a bright light in our district, bringing to her work an unwavering belief that every student can achieve and every teacher can make a difference. She was a constant source of encouragement, celebrating progress and supporting our Cardinals every step of the way. Her dedication to supporting teachers and helping students succeed made a lasting impact on our district and on countless lives.

Out of respect for Ms. Stinnett’s family, please refrain from sharing this news publicly or posting references to it on social media until the district’s public announcement has been shared.

We are sharing this news with you this evening because we know it will be upsetting for our staff and students, and we want to give families the opportunity to support your children as they begin to process this loss. Counselors will be available to provide support as our staff and students grieve together. Thank you for your discretion.

Please keep Ms. Stinnett’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who loved her in your thoughts. As we grieve this loss, may we offer one another kindness, care, and support.
