Order your CFHS Homecoming T-Shirt this week! Get ready for CFHS's “Friday Night Frights” Homecoming on October 16! T-shirts are available by preorder only, with this year’s court featured on the back. Youth sizes are $15; adult S–3XL are $20; and 4XL–5XL are $22. Order forms are available in the front office and online here. Complete a separate form for each shirt and turn it in to Mr. Andrey Wright at CFHS or your school’s front office by Monday, October 5. No extra shirts will be ordered.

Join the Homecoming Parade! Families, community groups, and organizations are invited to participate in the “Friday Night Frights” Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 16, at 3:00 PM. The parade begins at First Baptist Church. Pick up an entry form at CFHS and register with Ms. Stivers or Mrs. Wooten by the end of the day Wednesday, October 14.  An entry form must be on file to participate. The fee is $10 per car or truck and $5 per motorcycle or ATV; proceeds will help purchase materials for next year’s student floats. For details, call CFHS at 870-837-1300 during school hours.

The CFHS Annual Flu Clinic will be held on October 6, 2026. Students that are interested in getting a flu shot may pick up forms in your English classes or in the front office. Staff that are interested in getting a flu shot may pick up forms in the lounge. Please return completed forms as soon as possible to Nurse Elliott. 

Our Capturing Kids’ Hearts word of the month is courage. Courage means choosing to do what is right, necessary, or difficult even when you are afraid, uncomfortable, uncertain, or under pressure. Courage does not mean that you are never afraid. It means you refuse to allow fear to make your decisions for you.

MU ALPHA THETA: Sophomore, juniors, and seniors interested in joining Honor Math Club should see Mrs. Barnes or Mrs. Wooten by October 15. The cost is $18.

Juniors/Class Ring Order Info: The Jostens representative will be here to pass out class ring order packets on Monday, October 5, 2026. Juniors will meet with the rep 3rd period in the Little Theatre. Jostens will be back to take orders during A & B lunches on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.  

Anyone interested in participating in the mayor's youth council can come to the CFHS front office between classes to get an application. There are limited spots available so get your application in as soon as possible.

The PSAT is the National Merit Scholarship qualifier when taken in the junior year and is also used to select minority students for several recognition and scholarship programs. 

The PSAT/NMSQT measures verbal, math, and writing aptitude and is recommended for juniors who will be taking the SAT.

The fee to register for the PSAT is $20.00. You must pay the fee when you sign up. See Mrs. Wooten or Mrs. Richardson in the CFHS Counseling Center. 

It's time for the Great Camden Clean Up! Students, here's a chance to earn volunteer hours! This community-wide event takes place on Saturday, October 3, from 9 AM to 3 PM at Thrive Church. If you are interested in participating, contact Alderman Ed Winters at edwinters54@gmail.com. 

This is an opportunity for students who are interested in exploring careers in health care! Find Your Future in Health Care will be virtual (via Zoom). Participants will experience exciting activities and guest speaker from various health professions. This session is free to students and all supplies will be provided for activities. Interested students may sign up with counselors or science teachers before September 15, 2026.

Interested in a Career in Emergency Services? Students ages 16–20 can apply for ProMed’s Paramedic/EMT Exploring Post. Participants receive hands-on, real-world training in CPR, emergency response, diagnostics and more while exploring potential careers in emergency medical services. Only two spots remain! Softball tryouts will be held Wednesday, October 7, from 3:00–5:00 PM at the CFHS Multipurpose Building. Students should bring a glove, wear athletic attire, and wear tennis shoes or cleats.

Online and card purchases include applicable service and card-processing fees. Cash will continue to be accepted. CFSD employees receive free admission with their district ID badge.

👥 Fan Conduct: Students in grades K–5 must be supervised by an adult at all times. All home and visiting students are expected to behave appropriately. Adults and students may be removed for fighting, disrespectful behavior, or possession of prohibited items. Students must be picked up within 20 minutes after the event ends.
