Announcements & Reminders:

No School on Friday, August 21.

There is no school on Friday, August 21. Have a happy August Break, and enjoy the long weekend!

To see all the student holidays, staff PD days, and Early Out Wednesdays, check out the 2026-27 Calendar & Calendar Overview on the CFSD website!

School Hours:

Breakfast begins at 7:20 AM. Students should arrive to school by 7:45 AM to allow plenty of time to travel to class before the first bell rings at 7:55 AM. Please arrive on time and ready to learn!

Afternoon Dismissal:

Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:30 PM. Families, please remind your student to go to the appropriate location during afternoon car and bus dismissal. To ensure everyone leaves using the correct method home, students must all be in the right place. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary consequences.

CFMS House Colors Wednesdays:

Please wear your house colors each Wednesday.  We will have a CFMS House assembly on August 19 during Level Up time.

Please See the Nurse for Medical Needs and Self-Carry Inhaler Paperwork.

Students should see CFMS School Nurse Kristi Dean for medical needs and to provide us with the required paperwork from their healthcare provider on file before bringing self-carry inhalers to school. Students are not allowed to bring over-the-counter medications in their backpacks.

First Period Tardy Procedures:

Students must be inside their first-period classroom by 8:00 AM. Students who are not in the classroom when the bell rings will be counted tardy.

Tardy consequences include:
  • Fifth tardy to first period during a nine-week grading period: detention
  • Second tardy to periods 2–7: detention
  • Each additional tardy during the school day: one day of noon detention

Students arriving late in the morning should report to the office for a tardy slip. A tardy may only be excused when:
  • A school bus is late.
  • Entry screening is delayed because the metal detector line is congested. Students will receive a slip from staff at the entrance to give to their first-period teacher.
  • The student attended a medical appointment and provides verification from the healthcare provider.
  • The student was involved in an accident and provides verification from law enforcement, or the principal has personal knowledge of the accident.
  • A documented medical condition may occasionally cause the student to arrive late.

Please help students arrive early enough to complete entry screening and be seated in class by 8:00 AM.

Electronic Devices and Phone Pouches:

Any student who brings a phone or another electronic device to CFMS must bring their district-issued phone pouch each day. The CFMS Student Handbook outlines the following consequences for forgetting or misusing a pouch.
  • Initial warning: The device will be secured in the front office and may be retrieved by the student at the end of the school day.
  • First offense: The device will be confiscated and must be picked up by a parent or guardian.
  • Second offense: The student will receive one day of lunch detention, and the device must be picked up by a parent or guardian.
  • Subsequent offenses: A parent conference will be required, and the device must be picked up by a parent or guardian.

Thank you for helping your student arrive on time, prepared for class, and ready to learn!

We appreciate your support.
