Phone-Free & Focused: Bell to Bell, No Cell Hub

  • Welcome to the official Camden Fairview resource page for Arkansas’s Bell to Bell, No Cell Act (Act 122 of 2025).

    This law limits student use of personal electronic devices during the school day.

  • Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, Arkansas Act 122 requires that students must not use personal electronic devices during school hours, from the first bell to the last.

    Devices include:

    • Cell phones
    • Smartwatches
    • Earbuds/headphones that connect to devices
    • Tablets/laptops not issued by the district

  • This policy:

    • Improves student focus and classroom engagement
    • Reduces cyberbullying, academic dishonesty, and discipline issues
    • Encourages healthy screen habits
    • Promotes safety and equity
       

    Camden Fairview supports the law’s goals and has created a consistent, supportive approach to implementation across all campuses.

  • What devices are not allowed during the school day?

    • Phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth earbuds/headphones, tablets, and personal laptops.

    Can students use phones during lunch or in the hallway?

    • No. The law covers bell to bell — including transitions, lunch, restrooms, and assemblies.

    How can I reach my child in an emergency?

    • Call the school office. Staff will deliver urgent messages or call your student to the office.

    What are Yondr pouches? 

    Are there exceptions to the rule?

    • Yes, for:
      • Medical needs (must be documented)
      • IEP or 504 accommodations
      • School-supervised extracurriculars (as authorized)
