Kindergarten FAQ

2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration

All children who reside in the Camden Fairview School District and are 5 years old on or before August 1, 2024 are eligible to enroll in the FES Kindergarten program.

Mark your calendars for the FES Kindergarten Cardinals Round-Up on May 3! At the Round-Up, families will tour FES, meet the kindergarten team, take their child’s signing day photo, and receive assistance with online enrollment if needed.

Kindergarten Enrollment FAQs

  • My child attends preschool at Camden Fairview Early Childhood Education Center. Do we follow the same registration process as families new to Camden Fairview? Great question! Students who attend preschool at Camden Fairview Early Childhood Education Center do not have to use the Kindergarten Registration link, upload registration documents, or complete the kindergarten physical. These requirements were met during CFSD preschool enrollment. Your family will register as returning students later in the spring. Our Cardinal Pre-K families will hold their Kindergarten Signing Day on April 30 and take a school bus from ECEC on May 3 to tour FES at 8:30AM!

  • What are the hours of operation? Our instructional day is from 7:55AM to 3:00PM. Breakfast begins at 7:30AM, and car-riders are dismissed at 3:00PM. Students must be picked up by 3:30PM.

  • How will I know who my child’s teacher is? Class lists will be posted in early August. Teachers will then reach out to families to schedule their Cardinals Meet & Greet time. This is a great opportunity for families to meet their teacher one-on-one, see your classroom, and even drop-off school supplies! 

  • What school supplies does my child need? School supply lists will be available this summer.

  • Why is it important to complete registration and provide all documents? We can’t enroll students or assign them to a classroom until the registration process is complete and all required documents are turned in.

The following documents are required to complete registration:

  • Proof of Residency in Camden Fairview School District (ex. current utility bill or statement with parent/guardian’s name and address dated within the past 30 days).
  • Kindergarten Physical. Schedule an appointment with your child's primary care physician. Physicals are due before school begins in August.
